The Siemens 6SE6420-2AD24-0BA0 is a MICROMASTER 420 frequency inverter for supplying and controlling the speed of three-phase induction motors, in the version for 3 AC 380–480 V ±10%, 47–63 Hz supplies, with an integrated class A line filter.
The MICROMASTER 420 is the Siemens series for standard variable-speed applications: it is designed for simple, reliable drives such as conveyors, pumps and fans, with quick commissioning and a limited number of inputs and outputs. The integrated class A filter reduces electromagnetic interference to the supply network without the need for an external filter.
The inverter delivers 4 kW at both constant torque and square-law torque, with an overload capability of 150% for 60 s. The rated output current is approximately 10.2 A, with an output frequency of up to 650 Hz.
The device measures 202 x 149 x 172 mm (H x W x D), weighs approximately 3.3 kg, has IP20 degree of protection for cabinet mounting and operates at ambient temperatures from -10 to +50 °C. It is supplied without operator panel (BOP/AOP).
Siemens lists this part number as a discontinued product: it is therefore mainly in demand as a spare part for existing systems in which it is already installed.

The 6SE6420-2AD24-0BA1 is the later version of the same inverter, with the same ratings: 4 kW, 3 AC 380–480 V, integrated class A filter and the same dimensions. When replacing, we still recommend checking compatibility with the configuration and parameters of the system.
The MICROMASTER 420 is designed for standard applications such as pumps, fans and conveyors, with an overload of 150% for 60 s. The MICROMASTER 440 is the series for more demanding applications, with vector control, overload up to 200% and more inputs and outputs. The two models are not interchangeable without checking the application.
The class A filter reduces the electromagnetic interference that the inverter feeds back into the supply network, helping to comply with electromagnetic compatibility limits in industrial environments without having to install an external filter.
No, Siemens lists it as a discontinued product. For new installations, the MICROMASTER range has been replaced by the SINAMICS G120 family, which however requires a new parameter configuration. To keep the system unchanged, E-Repair offers component-level repair and, if available, a refurbished MICROMASTER 420 in advance.
The most frequent problems include overcurrent (F0001), overvoltage (F0002), undervoltage (F0003) and overtemperature (F0004) faults, often caused by worn fans, dirty heat sinks, aged DC link capacitors or damage to power components.
