| Siemens has declared the product 1FN3100-1WC00-0AA1 obsolete since 01.10.2021, i.e. out of production | |
The Siemens 1FN3100-1WC00-0AA1 is a primary section of the SIMOTICS L-1FN3 family, the active part of a three-phase synchronous linear motor in peak load version, designed for highly dynamic direct linear motion.
In a linear motor the force is generated directly between the primary section and the magnetic secondary section, without ball screws, belts or other transmission elements. This eliminates mechanical backlash and elasticity and allows high accelerations, very precise positioning and reduced wear.
The primary section delivers a rated force of 200 N and a maximum force of 490 N. The maximum velocity is 335 m/min at rated force and 147 m/min at maximum force. The rated current is 2.4 A and the maximum current is 6.5 A.
For thermal protection it integrates a PTC 120 sensor and a KTY84 temperature sensor. Power and signals are connected together via a terminal box with cable gland. The weight is approximately 2 kg.
Siemens cancelled the product as of 1 October 2021: today it is mainly required as a spare part for existing machines.

Yes. After you submit a request, the E-Repair Customer Care team will provide all the instructions for shipping it to the laboratory, where windings, insulation and temperature sensors will be checked.
No. The primary section works together with the magnetic secondary sections mounted along the axis travel and with a linear measuring system. When replacing it, we recommend checking that the installed secondary sections are compatible.
The PTC 120 protects the windings by signalling when the temperature threshold is exceeded, while the KTY84 provides the converter with a continuous temperature measurement for thermal monitoring of the motor.
The most common symptoms include overtemperature alarms, loss of force, axis following errors, ground faults due to degraded insulation and abnormal signals from the temperature sensors.
After mounting, the air gap to the secondary sections and the commissioning of the axis on the converter must be checked, including pole position identification according to the machine procedures. E-Repair can support you, also remotely.
